hazel & sid
We opened our doors here at Hazel & Sid in Ridgefield, Connecticut in November, 2006. We carry an eclectic mix of vintage, new, designer and salvaged pieces, things with a story, things that have been artfully created. Funky, hip, far from ordinary, you might find hot pink velvet on an antique Louis XIV settee, or a completely restored and rewired 1940s chandelier from Bue nos Aires, or a whimsical painting of Parisian cafe scene.

Perhaps you'll find a one-of-a-kind woven silk skirt hand-painted with gemoetric designs, or a wire crocheted necklace adorned with yarns, precious stones or horn. Whatever the case, what you find at Hazel & Sid will likely not be found anywhere else.

The goal of owner Andrea Anderson is to inspire thought and creativity into the things we choose to adorn our living spaces as well as ourselves. What shows up at Hazel & Sid is what catches Andrea's eye.

After living in Buenos Aires and Paris, San Francisco and Seattle, Andrea returns to these places multiple times each year to hunt for and hand-pick treasures for the store, searching local markets and discovering new artisans.

Who are Hazel & Sid
These bigger-than-life Seattleites were the bootlegging great-grandparents
of owner Andrea Anderson.
